# Importing Contacts

### What does importing contacts mean in Samwad?

Importing contacts in Samwad allows you to add multiple WhatsApp users to your account at once by uploading a CSV file. This is useful when migrating existing customer data, onboarding leads, or preparing an audience for campaigns and automation.

Samwad uses a **guided 3-step import flow**, with live assistance from **SAGE**, to ensure contacts are imported accurately and safely.

### Where can I import contacts from?

To import contacts:

1. Log in to the Samwad dashboard
2. Go to **Audience → Import**
3. You will land on the **CSV Contacts Import** page

This page clearly shows the import progress and available actions.
