# Messaging Status

The **Safe to message** status indicates that a contact is currently eligible to receive WhatsApp messages according to WhatsApp’s policies and recent engagement signals.

Samwad automatically evaluates messaging eligibility to:

* Prevent failed messages
* Reduce spam complaints
* Protect your WhatsApp Business account quality

If a contact is not eligible, Samwad clearly indicates this so you can take appropriate action.
