Facebook launched WhatsApp Business API in August 2018, with the goal of helping organizations scale their business and improve user interaction directly on WhatsApp.
The WhatsApp Business API allows businesses to:
Implement chatbots and automate responses.
Send WhatsApp broadcasts to unlimited users at once.
Automate notifications like payment reminders, delivery updates, etc., through your systems or CRM.
Receive the Verified WhatsApp Green Tick on your business account.
Manage multiple human-agent chats on the same WhatsApp number.
However, the API itself only provides backend functionality, meaning businesses must develop their own dashboard for live chat, chatbot automation, and broadcasting messages once they gain access to the WhatsApp Business API.
This is where Samwad comes in, offering a complete platform that integrates with WhatsApp Business API, allowing businesses to access features like in-built WhatsApp CRM, Smart Campaign Manager, and API-based campaigns.
Yes, the Samwad dashboard is compatible with both laptops and mobile phones. You can use your WhatsApp Business API account on your phone as well.
Yes, a business can obtain multiple WhatsApp Business APIs for different departments such as Finance, Sales, Customer Support, Procurement, etc. However, each WhatsApp Business API will be tied to a different mobile number.
You can upgrade any phone number to WhatsApp Business API, as long as the number isn’t already active on any WhatsApp App. If the number is already registered with the WhatsApp App, you must delete the account before applying for the API.
Note: If you don’t wish to use WhatsApp Business API, you can downgrade your number back to the WhatsApp App.
Open WhatsApp.
Tap More Options (three dots) > Settings > Account > Delete My Account.
Enter your phone number in full international format and tap "DELETE MY ACCOUNT".
Select the reason for deleting your account.
Tap "DELETE MY ACCOUNT".
